Accurate Online Presence

Visitors frequently orient themselves with websites other than your own.

The following list is a great starting point to ensure the correct information for your site is available.

  • Insist that third-party sites (Hiking Project, AllTrails, Google Maps, Facebook Groups, etc.) and information centers (travel centers, local visitor centers, etc.) share accurate information.

  • Regularly review your website to ensure content is correct and current.

  • Advertise park events at least a month in advance.

  • To maintain continuity, use evergreen e-mail addresses and phone numbers such as info@yourpark.org.

  • Avoid listing the contact information of specific staff who may move on.
